The following
charts show the relative size of the most commonly requested space sizes
and special positions available in the newspaper. However, many other
sizes and shapes are available on request. The grid shows the standard 8 column format of the newspaper. This applies to all advertising with the exception of Classified Appointments (which uses a 10 column format) and some special positions. Space sizes are described by their number of centimetres in height across the number of column widths. |

Although
we sell and describe all print advertising positions by reference to
their size on a standard page (a standard page is 560mm x 345mm for broadsheet,
340mm x 262mm for tabloid – see above for details of standard column
dimensions which must be used when booking), advertisers are not guaranteed
that their advertisement will be a specific size. Instead, advertisements
will cover a fixed proportion (based on the size booked) of the printed
area of the page. This is because we use 23 print sites globally and
the majority produce newspapers that vary from our quoted standard page
size. We will not therefore consider claims for compensation on the basis
that a printed advertisement is not the same size as quoted when booking. |

Display
